You will feel like a 'Parisien' rather than a tourist in this part of the city, as it is a residential neighbourhood to the west of the hill of Montmartre, off the direct tourist route. The shops, restaurants and amenities serve locals who live and work here, providing excellent service and value for money.
The charm, convenience and village-like atmosphere is backed up by fantastic local bakeries, fruit markets, butchers, wine shops, famous chocolate, supermarkets and a choice of local bars and cafes.
At the same time you are only minutes away from the superb sights at Sacre Coeur overlooking Paris. The historic and artistic atmosphere of Montmartre are bound to captivate you. You will be charmed by the narrow winding streets, its cemetery and vineyard and the bustling nightlife of Pigalle.
Rue Caulaincourt enjoys excellent transportation with metro and bus connections to all the main tourist centres of Paris. The Lamarck-Caulaincourt Metro stop is only five minutes away bringing you, in about ten minutes, directly to l'Opera, shopping in 'les grands magasins' (the large department stores), the Madeleine, the Musee D'Orsay on the Seine and St Germain des Pres beyond.
The 80 bus route is immediately outside the front door and brings you within fifteen minutes to the areas above as well as to the Champs-Elysees and the Eiffel Tower beyond. The number 85, just slightly further down the road will bring you to the Luxembourg Gardens, the Louvre, Pont Neuf and St Germain des Pres beyond. Going in the opposite direction, the 85 will take you to the famous Paris flea markets (Marche aux Puces) at rue Clignancourt in about fifteen minutes.
Rue Custine is a typical Parisian street and this part of the street was given its name in 1869. When you walk into the building, you will be greeted with a rare, tiled entrance that is a reminder of the Art Deco era.
This apartment is located on the 6th floor in a well maintained building which accessible by elevator.
The flat maximizes natural light and air while minimizing noise with the help of double glazed windows.
When you enter the apartment, you arrive at a long hallway that all of the rooms are off of.
This allows the convenience of not going through anyone's sleeping area to allow for privacy.
Much of the artwork adorning the hallway and other rooms of the apartment have been painted by the owner.
Others are unique pieces he has collected over the years and through his travels.
At the end of the hallway and on your right is the main living area.
This room is a wonderful, open space with the sofa area to your left, the kitchen to your right and the dining table in the middle.
There are two windows that offer a peak of Sacre Coeur and allow a large amount of sunlight to fill the room on a bright day.
The entire apartment has a warm feeling with its wooden sculptures and other types of artwork.
The kitchen area has a great amount of counter space and cupboards that is rare in Paris.
There is a fresh market close by on rue Duhesme/rue du Poteau. We are certain you will enjoy coming back to your apartment to prepare a delicious meal in this kitchen then enjoy dining in the comfortable space provided.
For your convenience, this flat has a dishwasher to save you the time of washing up.

The dining table has chairs and stools to accommodate four to five people.
If you enjoy reading, there is a comfortable futon you may sit on by the window closest to the kitchen.
This futon can also convert to a bed for an extra person if needed.
When you feel like having an evening in, there is a flat screen television and stereo system in the living area.
Going out of this room and back into the hallway, you will see the entrance to the master bedroom directly across from you.
The charm of African art comes into this room as well with a collection of wooden statues in one of the corners.
There is a closet in the bedroom with plenty of space for you to hang your clothes and store folded items.
Two bedside tables with lamps offer comfort for reading before you go to sleep after a day of exploring the city.
All rooms on this side of the apartment are on an inner courtyard so you will not hear any street noise.
When you exit the master bedroom, the first room on your right is the bathroom.
It is very spacious with both a bathtub and shower.
There are two windows allowing the sunlight to brighten the room.
On chillier mornings, there is an electric towel warmer you may wish to use for heating.
This is also where you the combination washer/dryer machine is located.
Going out of the bathroom and continuing to your right is a smaller room that contains the toilet.
Beyond the WC you will reach the second bedroom.
This is the room that is closest to the entrance door of the apartment.
There is a trundle bed that can be left as one single bed, pulled out to have two single beds or put together to make a larger bed for a second couple.
Normally, this room will be set up as one or two single beds unless you tell us otherwise.
We have shown it set up as a double sized bed for two people in these photos.
For the convenience of people in this bedroom, there is a small sink and cupboard where you may store your toiletries.
If you are two couples, it can be very handy to have this second area.
